    Hi,

Sorry for the long delay but I thought I would let you all know how I got on.

    1) Developer went bust
    2) Was unprofessional and unwilling to communicate

I am wiser for this experience. There were signs and i will head them next time.

For now I have the most expensive electricity bill in Europe and a portable gas fire for the winters

    thanks for all your responses.

    O
Do you have outside space? You might be able to use some geo-thermal heating ... there are some guys on the Green Energy Board on this site that dabble around with something that's the opposite of an air conditioning unit - and for these you use about 1kW to power the unit and it sucks in and extracts heat from outside (even when it's cold) and you end up getting nearly 3kWh heat out from your 1kWh you put in... worth looking into and asking them and thinking about if you can fit one to your building.

THANKS for dropping back and updating us!

Edit: Actually, I think they might be on the Utilities/heating forum: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=78

Edit2: Sticky at the top of the forum it is:
