Hi
My tomtom seems to have died!
I was driving up to kettering to a meeting, it found the place fine, I turned it off, put it in the glove compartment and went off.
I came back 2 hours later tried to turn it on and it turned onto the splash screen then turned off.
I assumed it was flat so left it to charge, 20 mins later still no joy.
I tried to reset it using a lady from an A14 Wild bean Cafe's name badge, nothing
when I try to turn it on the green light comes on only when my finger is pressed on the button.
I tried to charge it via the mains so it was fully charges but the green light doesnt come on and the unit is cold so its not charging.
I havee tried plugging it into the PC in case it was a disk error but it wont turn on so the pc wont recognise it.
anyone have any ideas, i'm at a loss now!
Matt

My tomtom has done this a couple of times. The first time resetting it did the trick, but the second time I had to wait a few days, tried resetting it again out of frustration and it worked.
Also, if you know someone else with a tomtom try using their charger if its compatible just to see if the charger is broken - I had to replace my charger, luckily we had a few spare (from having a couple of tomtoms stolen from our cars  ).
Tomtoms are unreliable like that sometimes - the same thing happens to my brothers and cousins tomtoms...We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

I dont think mine liked going on and off the charger several times a day, after a while mine wouldnt turn on reliably
I found leaving it on charge overnight on the mains charger sorted it out.
