Hi,
I've recently bought a laptop that has WiFi capability. I'm now looking for a wireless thingy that will let me surf wireless.
I currently have cable broadband with Ntl/Virgin and I have a cable modem that came with that. As you can tell I know nothing about this so I'm looking for advice as to where I can buy the cheapest wifi thing that is SECURE and will work with Virgin broadband.
Thank you very much for your help in advance. Without it would be lost :T

Yip, but I meant to post it in this thread first as it's more appropriate but I don't know how to remove it from the other thread.0

I am on Virgin and I bought this model from Amazon. It was really cheap compared to Belkin and Linksys and it has been fantastic. Took next to no time to install and no problems since.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That's an access point, personally I would recommend a Netgear WGR614 router that way you will also get a hardware firewall. They only cost £32 at ebuyer. It's my problem, it's my problem

And it's my problem if I have no friends

Sorry wrong link

I wondered why it was more expensive than I had paid. It does have a firewall too.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ahh, that makes more sense. I must admit I like Netgear as they are well regarded and very popular so it's easy to find help if you should have any problems. It's my problem, it's my problem
