I went in tonite to my local and they must have had 150 cases of Stella in various places around the store. I relieved them of 10 cases in two trips, never seen the price that low...it works out at a mere 35p a bottle. :-)

Stella 5%ABV (InBev Belgium&Brazil) has more duty on it than Carling 4% ABV (owned by Coor's USA) as Carling is weaker than Stella's 5% ABV there's less duty on Carling which partly accounts for the price difference in the 2 beers regarding the size of the can/bottle 440ml/330ml.Both companies are fighting a price war, Carling the UK's No1 Lager was for a short while owned by InBev (Stella) until the UK Government's Monopoly's & Mergers Commission forced InBev to sell Carling. As competition is good for the consumer beer is at an all time low price. Your finds/post is a good price and I'm sure all go down a treat during these hot summer days, Cheers!

hmm i work for somerfield and not very happy about this.

It clearly says on their website that its 2 for £14. I was told the offer was store specific, but when the offer went on the website they must have been wrong. You cant advertise nationally and then exclude stores.

I'd suggest going into somerfield and telling them that youve seen in advertised online, and tell them you want it as advertised at £14.

Also apparently next Wednesday somerfield are doing super deals on wine instead, ill keep you posted when and if i find out what wines;).

Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life.
