Can anyone tell me where the best and cheapest place is to advertise a car for sale? Thanks

Failing that, autotrader is your next safest bet to ensure you obtain the best price although there have been instances with its new searching capability recently. Failing that, if you really need to shift it eBay is always an option. Whatever you decide try to give as much information about the car as possible, including any faults, documentation details, number of keys etc. Small things matter and will prevent any serious buyer getting annoyed when they show up only to see a key mark that you didn't think would matter. Be as honest and up front and as explicit as possible. Lots of positives too will help, if your car is low on features think laterally, e.g. seats fully adjustable, head restraints, independent door locking can all be valid features and will make the car sound desirable! good luck!

Cheapest is to put an advert in the car windows assuming that your local Council doesn't have by-laws prohibiting this.
