  The February issue of Woman and Home magazine has a voucher inside for a free full-size Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect eye cream, worth £30. Officially you need to get a 30 min skin care consultation, but it's possible they'll let you have the freebie without.
  
  To get your eye cream, buy the mag, go to page 105 and tear out the voucher. Then ring your local John Lewis Elizabeth Arden counter to book an appointment (find your nearest by calling 020 7574 2714).

The catch is you have to have a 30 minute skin care consultation, so you’ll need a strong resolve not to buy anything they try to sell you.

I would ask for samples.
If they give you samples say you'd like the opportunity to try them first.
If they don't then either say you'd like to see how the stuff they've used feels later and make sure you have no negative reaction .

If you are polite and show an interest they'd be mad to harrass you.

I got the Pantene samples a few months ago - you get a shampoo and a conditioner in lovely little 30ml tubes. Mine also came with a coupon (I think it was £1).

My daughter and I went to John Lewis Edinburgh Elizabeth Arden counter for my consultation on Saturday and the girl was so nice. There was no hard sell and I got the eye cream which is lovely. Afterwards I did buy a body lotion for my friends upcoming birthday but only because I do like the stuff and wanted it anyway.
