  • Got my Prescriptives mascara and a lovely makeover!

But the eyecream had ran out.

Staff said they had only got 160 in which doesn't seem many for a month-long promo in a city centre store.

Couldn't agree more Princess Jane - 160 eye creams in a city centre store is certainly not enough for that kind of promo!!!

Which store has run out? Was going to try Selfridges??!
Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

It is plenty from their point of view. They got more people through the door hence more potential customers.
I would suggest at any time just asking nicely and if you at least come across as genuine many makeup counters or shops selling toiletries will have the odd sample. Especially if you need to try it due to skin problems, sensitivities and so on.

I contacted the company direct - asked nicely - and the sample is mine.

    Result.

I got the Pantene samples a few months ago - you get a shampoo and a conditioner in lovely little 30ml tubes. Mine also came with a coupon (I think it was £1).

I got mine yesterday, they were also the 30ml tubes. You were right it is a £1.00 off coupon.

They were beautifully packaged as well!

    Thanks guys...:T

Best to try eh? It you don't ask you don't get! Well done:D

large cosmetic companies spend loads on advertising and so on, but very similar products in different price range brands the cheaper ones may even feel better. e.g. the v expensive foundation that smells of rum and the £14 face powder which is all claggy compared to an own brand one for £5. Try the testers on the shop floor if someone hasnt nicked them:mad:

Big names will give you more samples because they have more of an incentive to get you to buy their stuff. All part of an image, they are not 'generous' they are giving you little pots of advertising;) I know my mum used to go from time to time and they gave her loads of little samples (maybe you need to be 5 foot tall with silver hair to get the best freebies;)
