He might. Trouble is fibre cement sheeting seems to have acquired the generic name "asbestos" rather like all vacuum cleaners are "hoovers". How old is the roof? That will give a clue. Found a reference on the HSE website saying asbestos use peaked in the 1960's and early 1970's but was in use until the mid 1980's. Had a word with a local BCO who said that you cannot tell by visual inspection. It would have to be tested. They would assume it was asbestos unless you could show otherwise.0 -
