Have to say that if I keep getting identikit rock tracks that it might be a blessing in disguise if he's either lively or the room closes. Mostly I've enjoyed a really good mix but I'm clearly hitting a few left over veins of 5 tracks in a row of instrumentals or rock tracks or odd country music.

I really hope so. I only need to review about 9 more tracks before I'm at my next £5 withdrawal limit - I just couldn't take any more last night and had to get to bed.

Anyone got any tips/handy phrases for reviewing instrumental tracks? I've been getting an awful lot of them and it's so hard to think of anything new to say.

Hmm instrumental tracks are difficult
I comment on the rythmn and the pace, what instruments were used and how they sounded together
I think i focus more on the feel of the track with instrumentals because without vocals its got to paint you a picture its more of how it makes you feel

But thats just me lol

Hmm I have the same trouble with the instrumentals.

Usually talk about composition, how it flows, is it balanced, any of the instruments that I like or am surprised by and frequently get to mention how little actual tune or melody there is, how repetitive it is and how long.

Don't suppose that helps much - if you check the sticky there are some great tips on what to include generically on reviews.
