At several hundred tracks, I can throw a 10 at a dance track that isnt likely to score high and it dents my accuracy by about 0.01%.

Similarly though, if your average is low and you've reviewed a lot of tracks, it's difficult to get back up. Probably best to stay away from the extremes until you are at a 'safe level' IMHO.

The hip hop is getting to me today. Found a bizarre and worrysome side effect of doing STP on my way home from LOndon, listening to my Fave tracks, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Delirious, tree63 and I was critiquing them and writing reviews for each track in my mind - found it near impossible not to!!!!

Checked my accuracy just now and I'm up 1% having done no reviews today. A sure sign that others scoring is getting a bit erratic and hence the wonderful law of averages is working in my favour.

I wrote a huge and informative post about not getting hung up over accuracy and explaining the maths and the law of averages which mean that provided you score good songs 6+, poor songs 4- and average stuff 5 it wont make a lot of difference what you score so give it your honest shot - this works more, the more tracks you review. At several hundred tracks, I can throw a 10 at a dance track that isnt likely to score high and it dents my accuracy by about 0.01%. Averages, dont you just love em? But unfortunately it disappeared into cyber space:rotfl:
Will get up at 3 and try to get the last 60 I need done to reach my target.

I have found myself doing the same :o And I'm sorry, but getting up at 3?! 3am????
  • While this song doesn't inspire me to jump up and dance around the room it is refreshing to finally get a hip hop song that doesn't consist purely of gangster and ho lyrics. Although saying that the lyrics on this track do sound like a story from jeremy kyle.

My review of what may be my 300th hip hop track today. It was about a nice young man who met a girl in a club, got drunk, slept with her without protection, went to the gu clinic and now she is pregnant and his mate is telling him she slept with someone else around that time too. :rotfl: Now that's proper white man rap!
  • I feel dirty. Just had a female hip hop song about sex(very original) and one of the lines was 'don't touch me there cos it trickles' sorry but that is just minging! And I told her so too.

I'm afraid my reviews of hip hop songs are becoming meaner and meaner as time goes on, I have no patience for them anymore and have stopped trying to find something positive to say.

I tell you, check the sofas instead - much higher rate of pay in this house:)

I can't face going back in tonight - I'm quitting at an £8 withdrawal over the last two days - can't face making it up to 10.
Even the kids were saying they're bad earlier on tonight. Did some great math with them though about why I wanted to get to 1000 reviews and hopefully 15p a track.

Oh and the selection box lasted about 10 seconds between us all. Such a distant memory already:)

Well done to all those continuing or even just starting at the end of an arena - you certainly don't get the pick of the crop at the end.

Can't wait to see the new item on STP next week.

Some kind person sent me free tkts to see Grace Solero and The Colours on my birthday so will head into London and listen to some of the people I've reviewed.

Good night - excuse the ramble!
    Here come the girls....100% Gorgeous!!!

I think we should make up an MSE track. I think we could rival the majority of the tracks I've listened to this week

A nice mellow introduction (perhaps some heavy panting like sex with an echo...{leave this part open to offers}) , include a heavy beat then in the background. Get Norfolk_Jim to start softly humming while sparklewing sings six a song of sixpence over the top. (You see the money connection ;) ) Then all of a sudden they'll be misspixierocktastic and eshkie scream at the top of their voices as homage to the great fridge song! Then we'll throw in a few la la las from Gryfon and lililou. The finale will be a take on Money Money Money by loumac and doodledo. All in all, we'll get InkMonkeh to promote us and the rest of the slicethepie-ers to review and I think we're well on our way to a number one!

Sounds like a winner to me! Certainly couldn't be worse than some of the trash that's on there. Yes mr fridge man I am talking about you!:rotfl:
  • I keep deciding to stop for the night then going back into it because I want to make as much money as I can before the room shuts.

    It's an addiction!

I'd be perfect at la la la's! I can even sing in tune...unlike a lot of people on there.

Haven't done much tonight as I was feeling pretty brain dead after just 2 tracks!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
