i think i've got a handle on 'the spread' now as well.

(he says, 134 tracks down the line today )

i think the general rule of thumb is that you have to be a bit more adventurous in rating good songs highly, and bad songs .. well .. low

you're not going to get it perfect every time and there'll be some movement in stars and accuracy all the time really, but if you also bear in mind that a large, large proportion of the songs in 24/7 do fall into the 4-7 bracket anyway, then i think it can probably be stablised fairly easily.

I think i did so many tracks today because i had a feeling i was going to get a 5th star - got to 92.39% at one point and i reckon if i'd got to 95%, that star would have been mine.

Just about to start today, hoping for a good couple of hours scouting - hope I last that long!!

I'm new to the whole thing, so haven't tried 'the old way' - I was still on vouchers then, so hopefully it won't be too hard for me to adjust! Fingers crossed!!

In fairness, the new system has helped me loads, as I wouldnt even be close to 4 stars now otherwise, so I can cope with the fluctuation safe in the knowledge I'm still about 1000 tracks away from 4 stars under the old system, and I havent yet dropped back down to 2 stars again (after the initial drop to vouchers)

i think the fact that so many people are figuring it out so quickly could potentially backfire on them - if more people get to 4 stars a lot quicker, and increase their payouts a lot quicker then STP are going to find themselves paying out much more money.

I'm supposed to be taking a week off from scouting but i'm getting the itch to jump back in this afternoon

Have been away for a few days... and read this forum and became scared!
Dropped 2% from when I began listening (about 10 songs ago), but have rated 6,6,9,7,8,4,2,6 and gained a star. Maybe it is the variety of ratings rather than accuracy.

a combination of both, if your accuracy drops below 90% you will go back to 3 stars, and from what I understand if you dont maintain the 'spread' then you likely drop to vouchers / 2 stars.

what i don't like though is when you're fed a never ending stream of average songs - it's a no-win situation because you either have to rate unfairly and get your accuracy and stars destroyed, or continue giving them average ratings .. and get your accuracy destroyed

thats whats worrying me atm, I'm in a rut of average songs, I know I am as I'm almost the same accuracy as when I started, so am hoping for a real poor, or good one soon
