Unsolicited marketing calls from 01253 755 780

Hi everyone,
Just letting you know that I have been receiving lots of calls, mostly where they immediately hang up (presumably so you call them back so they can market to you for free!) from the number in the message title. I've put together a response after looking at my rights under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Don't know if it will help anyone or if indeed it will help me, but just in case, here is the wording and the form I have used.

Hi,
I would like to know under the Data Protection Act 1998 where you got my mobile phone number, 0xxxxxxxxxx. I would also like you to cease from using my data and erase it from your records as the unsolicted and constant cold calling from your company is causing me unwarranted distress as laid out under Part II, section 10, para 1 a and b. I expect notification that removal of my data from your system has occurred within 5 working days from this electronic message, sent 15th January 2008, otherwise I shall be referring the matter to the Information Commissioners Officer, as per my legal right.
