Hi,
Can anyone help please? I have subscribed to several threads on MSE to receive instant email notification and I am not receiving any at all even though there have been new posts - does anyone else have this problem or know why it might be happening please?
I have tested my email address and that is receiving normal emails ok.

I got sick of all the email notifications ages ago so turned them off (over 2000 subscribed threads at the moment.)
I just bookmark http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/usercp.html and that lists all the threads that have had new posts since I was last here (or, rather, at that URL.)Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Assuming you're using Windows and Internet explorer (these instructions written for IE7, but something similar should work with IE6):Erm sorry i am a bit computer illiterate I dont know how to do this

Right click on the following link: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/usercp.html > and select Add to Favourites...
Change the name in the box that pops up to something you'll recognise later. e.g. "MSE New posts"
When you're bored/whatever, Select Favourites in your menu bar at the top, and click on "MSE New posts" - you'll be taken (if you're logged in, if not you'll be prompted to and then taken) to a screen similar to the following:
You'll notice I've highlighted with a red ellipse some blue squares with ticks on the left hand side.
On IE7: Middle clicking or Ctrl-Left-Click will open that thread in a new tab at the first new post you haven't read.
On IE6: Shift clicking the square will open the thread (at the first new post) in a new window.
Either of these will allow you to browse new posts in a separate window while keeping the list of new posts in a window of itself. Simply close the new thread windows when you've finished reading them/replied to them.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
Isn't this a quicker way to view all your subscribed threads: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/subscription.html
and sort by last post if you want it in that order...0 -
It's a list of all threads containing new posts you haven't seen yet, without showing you threads you have read fully.Isn't this a quicker way to view all your subscribed threads: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/subscription.html

If that's what you mean by 'quicker' then yes it is.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Hi
I wonder if anyone could please help.
I am not receiving any emails from the competitions forum despite being subscribed for forum updates. I had another i.d and it stopped receiving the emails so I changed to a different email address but that didn't work, so then signed up for another i.d with yet another email address but that didn't work either.
I used to receive these emails fine and really miss them. I emailed technical support but no one ever got back to me, understandable given how busy they must be. But I wondered if anyone could help me figure out how to get the competitions forum emails back?
Thanks so much
