Evening fellow moneyhiders
I've been gradually sorting out my finances over the past few months. Went a bit mad after uni and racked up about 6k's worth of debt. I've just about go this down to nothing (Just cashed in 2.5k's worth of my premium bonds savings to clear it off)
Now I currently have (once my cleared payments have gone though)
Virgin card - 400 Limit - Balance +4.58
Egg Card - 2k Limit - Balance -450
Mint Card - 1750 Limit - Balance 0
Capital One Card - 750 Limit - Balance 0
Barclays Graduate Card - 500 Limit - Balance 0
I plan to cancel the captial one, the Barclays Graduate, the Virgin card, and the mint card.
Here in exists my question, I rack a lot of transactions up for business expenses, approx 2k per month on a cheap month, I try to keep them all on my Egg card, and the balance will be cleared every month. I obviously have to pay interest on that, so I want a card thats going to give me decent rewards to make up for the interest I'm going to have to pay. Egg are pretty good, but the rewards they have are pretty useless to me.
I also want a card that I can use for my own personal expenses, just for the odd one off payment here and there.
Any thoughts on the best route.
Thanks in advance
Joel

if you clear the balance each month why do you pay interest?
always have two cards in case one is declined for random reasons.
get egg money ..it gives you 1% cashback0 -

Our accounts department arnt the quickest people on the world to process expense claims, and the claims arn't always at the same time each month, so interest is inevitable at some point. I have an egg card of some description, I've never had any cashback on that card though.
Are airmiles cards any good?

Is there any possibility of you creating a 'float' on your Egg Money card? Sufficient so that when payment is due you can at least clear it or at best have a positive balance on it?
They pay interest on any positive balance.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0
