Hope the link has pasted correctly.cant recommend anyone as havnt been but ENJOY !!!!0 -
This has been queried before on the NI board. Unfortunately the sceptics will come forward to tell you how wrong you are to give time to any sort of medium, tarot card reader etc etc. It's a free world and you are entitled to spend your money exactly as you wish.
If you search the NI forum using the term fortune teller you'll get a couple of discussions up. I tried to create some links but failed miserably.0 -
We have a thread similar to this already, I'll add your query to it so all the replies are together. Posts are listed in date order so you'll need to read from the beginning to catch up0

You're absolutely right that eveybody is free to spend their money as they wish, but people are also free to point out that it's a scam.
Is there another topic where this would be frowned upon?
If we pointed out to someone that an investment scheme they had been presented with was a pyramid scheme, or that the timeshare they were considering was a scam, we'd be getting thanked.
But point out that fortune telling is also a scam and suddenly we're crossing some line.
My personal opinion of fortune tellers is that they are fraudsters who are all too willing to exploit people's insecurities and personal losses for their own financial gain. Why should I not be allowed to point that out?0 -

I did not mean to offend in the least and I apologise if I did, what you do with your hard earned is entirely up to you, as you say most people can spend that on a night out and more:eek:
Good luck in your search and I hope you find your tall, dark stranger:DI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

Where exactly in my post does it say that fortune telling isn't a scam? Where does it say that people are not permitted to give their opinion? I was merely pointing out to the OP that her query will attract the sceptics. What is wrong with that?0 -

Saying "unfortunately the sceptics will come forward" suggests that you think it's a bad thing.0 -

This thread was originally opened in 2008. I would love to know if the OP found a fortune teller, and how accurate the reading was considering that some of what was predicted should now be in the past...0
