I think it's a load of nonsense. There was a man in the In Shops who gave you a tape of the reading. I played mine to my friends mum, who looked amazed. She played me hers and he told us the exact same things, which we obviously related differently.

He was guff.... :rotfl: Total waste of £20.

    Only been to two.

One as above, and I'm not sure I would recommend.

The second was an old lady from the Shankill in Belfast. Not great, but not bad either. Was cheap enough for a party we had booked. No idea who she was though, as someone else booked her.

I do know of someone who works from a housing estate on the west side of Armagh who's supposed to be quite good, but no personal experience.

A good contradiction in terms, someone told me she was good too. However I've been to several fortune tellers in the past and would think twice about going again.

A: They Do tend to get your past spookily dead on

    B. You can let what they say govern your future too much to the point where the "blonde guy" you should have in your life takes over and you ditch all the other men you have to go through to reach him... If you get my drift.

Best to let your life go according to plan. Take it from someone who has a huge collection of Tarot Cards in the house and would still be sceptical!

Has anyone read Derren Brown's Tracks of the Mind?

It features an excellent exposé of how fortune tellers swindle money from people. He gave 15 people (from three different countries) a written "psychic reading". All of them thought he was very accurate. It was then revealed that they had all been given exactly the same reading.

It's possible to appear uncannily accurate with a little practice doing cold-reading and good old fashioned guesswork.

Going to a fortune teller can be fun, but its not to be taken seriously. If there really were people who could tell the future, they'd all have made millions on the stock markets.
