Cheap Rate at The Burford Bridge Hotel?

I am getting married in May, on a very small tight budget
We're camping on our honeymoon, but we'd love one night of luxury, at The Burford Bridge Hotel at the foot of Box Hill in Dorking, Surrey, England
The cheapest rate I can find is on their website at £155 per night including breakfast for us both
Has anyone tried the Mercure Hotel chain loyalty scheme for a discount?
Can anyone help me come up with a better deal? I'd be so grateful!

Hello jessegee
I'll move your thread to the 'Travel, Trips & Holidays' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Why not try a direct approach with the reception first and tell them that it is a very special booking can they offer you something 'on the house' - you can still go back and book on line if they are negative about it all!!
Congratulations and Happiness always:T0 -
Oops , sorry I put this in the wrong section!
I will try the reception, thats a good idea, thanks :T
