Life Insurance for a 58 year old ?

My 58 year old dad is always going on at me to take out Life Insurance on him but until recently I've always told him to shut up and stop being morbid...however over the last few weeks I've come to think that he really does just have my interests at heart. He has just had a baby with his 37 year old girlfriend and is pushing me to sort out some insurance and I can see why - obviously if anything happens to him I will be left nothing (i'm 30).
So my question is....where is the best place to go to get a policy for someone of this age? I feel so morbid....

...i am 30 and married so, no i would not have a financial loss but I suppose I just would not receive any inheritance from my father's estate. My dad knows this and just wants me to benefit in some way...i.e. insurance...
I have 2 younger brothers too, 21 & 18 my Dad wants them to do the same.0 -
If you have no insurable interest, then you are not allowed to take out life assurance on him anyway.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
