Can you get more information from CIFAS?
If the information they hold is wrong they should correct it - if not as other posters have indicated - not a chance.

You know those 10 foot bargepoles?.... You get the idea. Most, if not all lenders wouldnt touch you with one anyway. My advice would be to get the problem sorted asap and if you didnt cause the fraud ie: Its ID theft or something then you need to kick up a fuss. If you did cause the issue then you will have to sleep in the creditless bed you made:rolleyes:

I have a Class 4 CIFAS flag which is noted as application fraud. I applied for a CapOne card - no instant decision but received a letter approving me.

Is it the Platinum or the 30000000% apr classic. Good luck with it anyway hopefully it will help you build a decent score again:cool:

cab 412, you don't say if the cifas warning is against you (i.e. you made a fraudulent application and got caught out) or if it is just against your address.

all a cifas warning means is that lenders have to manually assess an application - they are not allowed to refuse you just because a cifas warning exists, but if it turns out to be against you, and not someone else at your address, then they can turn you down.

the cifas warning is about the only piece of data which sticks to the address, so even cifas against a completey different person, recorded at your address, will show on your credit file.
Karma is a wonderful thing. ;)
