Importing video clips to ipod

Can anyone help here, I've used itunes with my ipod nano for over a year, as it's not a video nano I've never needed to import video footage.

A freind of mine however has just bought an ipod video 30g I've just imported several mp4 files from his mobile phone to itunes, and transferred them to his ipod, however when it is replayed back on the ipod we can here the sound but just get a freezeframe of the clip. ie no video.

When I play it though itunes on the pc however it works fine. Any suggestions.

if conversion is the problem, you could try one of the freeware converters available from Download.com:

mediacoder is free and has presets for converting video for ipod use.
you could also try pulling the video's over direct using yamipod in case the problem is with itunes itself.
