Car Rental in the U.S.

Hi guys,
Im due to travel over to the U.S. this year for St. Paddy's day and been looking at the car rental options for myself.
Main problem seems to be is that im 24, and despite the fact I've been driving since I was 17, have a clean license and regularly rent a car or van in the U.K., Im automatically charged an extra $190 as a 'young driver charge'?!! (thats with enterprise)
Is there any other options out there or any recommended US rental firms?
The journey Im looking to do predominately is from Washington Dulles Airport to Morgantown, West Virginia (which has no rail service and extremely limited bus services although if all else fails, I can get internal flights from Dulles to Morgantown) but would like the car option.

have you tried novacarhire.com Nova Car rentals
they quoted me some very good rates for Under 23 yrs old last year and were also able to offer either a short term or annual Insurance policy that covered me for all car rental worldwide at excellent rates and thus you did not have to take out the expensive car rental insurance offered by the rental company.
they used to be based in portstewart but I believe are now in killorglin county kerry but a long established company. worth checking with them anyway by phone or via internet.
