Is this the guy who keeps posting links for newsletters selling shares? He's a pain. I didn't know how to report individual posts, so I just sent an e-mail to the address at the top of the page. Thanks for pointing out the triangle - I need to keep my eyes open I think :rotfl:0 -

Ive been to 3 classes now (2 hours each session) and am making a skirt. I chose a really simple one with lining and waistband and should hopefully be finished this week (maybe next week) so it shouldnt take you too long depending on which pattern you get. There are a dozen or so im my class so if you getting one to one tuition will probably take you less time. Like you I was a total newby to it all. Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks! I'm having one-on-one tuition. Really enjoyed the first class. I started learning how to draft my own patterns which is interesting but a bit confusing at times. I haven't used a sewing machine before so hope I get on OK with it once I start.0 -

That sounds good. I want to know how to do that too but I dont know if we will be covering that in my classes or not, very much doubt it. I hadnt used a machine before either but you can get the hang of the basics quite quickly and as you getting one to one you will probably learn things even quicker. Am sure you will get on fine. Glad to hear you enjoying it!:smileyhea0 -
Vice Versa, just been over to the Sewing Thread! Looks good, a huge amount of info there!

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, i've got myself some lovely material and hope to turn it into a basic dress for my baby dd i don't mind perhaps buttons but anything else i might struggle with lol
Are there designs/templates i can get my hands on somewhere?
A sleeveless over head type would be ideal i guess.
thanks0 -
