I have a large garage about 7m x 4m and it has old steel corrugated sheeting on top and is leaking. Now am looking at replacing this with something but not sure what. What is the best thing to replace this with?
A friend has said to use OSB and then protect it with some pvc glue thing
Any help would be great

We have a similar problem of roof as above needing replaced on our garage, BUT we have additional problem that our garage is one of a pair with roof running over them both. Neighbour doesn't use her garage and is not interested in replacing roof. How can we replace our roof only? (Roof is flat). Has anyone overcome this problem?
We had fibre glass on a flat roof extension in a previous house and found it very good. One day it was damaged in storm when tile from main roof was blown on to it, but repair was very quickly and simply done.0 -
Ours was replaced by 5in x 2in sawn treated softwood joists (with bracing between) covered by 18mm waterproof 'chipboard'. Then 3 layers of high performance roofing felt. No leaks so far, and it has a 20 yr guarantee.
If you intend to use the garage as a playroom sometime, or for domestic, use it would pay to get the roofing board with integral rigid insulation. The 3 layers of roofing
felt goes on top of the insulation.
Good luck!0
