Try calling in at motorway services and/or little chef (or similar) on the way. They usually have a rack full of leaflets which often have discount vouchers in them.

If you have time it is also worth phoning tourist information in Chester, if they have any vouchers they will post them to you.

For a free afternoon out on a nice day, have a walk round the city walls.

They have free child with 2 paying adults.
Also I've read that Cheshire Oaks Information will give you a good discound (and possibly free children) if you can get there to book your tickets.

Or could you ring them and ask if you sent an sae would they send you a few? I am not going there till new school term when i need some clarks shoes from the clarks outlet or I'd have got some

I too saw leaflets in Cheshire Oaks, try there! While you're at it, if you go to the Cheshire Oaks website you can download a free 10% discount voucher for nearly all the stores in Cheshire Oaks. I got a suit from there the other day. A nice little saving!!

Chester Zoo is amazing, but it's too expensive!

Cheshire Oaks Information will give you a good discound (and possibly free children) they do a discount but not free child.

Think it will be cheaper with the free child

If you buy your tickets online (from Chester Zoo) they are usually cheaper than 'at the gate' prices. I have also bought tickets from Cheshire Oaks outlet village previously (march 2010), they were about £11 each.
