...when you go away on hols
I'm in the process of making a list of the things I need to take with me
Obviously tickets and passport, money
Contraceptive pill and other medications
Travel iron and adaptor for it
I know there must be loads and loads more, what I want to avoid is taking LOADS of stuff that I don't need really!
I haven't been away for over 4 years, doesn't it show I don't even know what to take!

When going somewhere cold, I always forget a pair of gloves and have to buy some whilst there. This space has been intentionally left blank0

Sewing kit - just back from skiing and several people needed one in the Chalet but none was to be found (for several hours - then found thread & needle)!

I always forgot something. So I did a checklist. This solved the problem of forgetting things, but now there is always something you need that wasn't on the checklist. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Yeah thats what I could do with, the definitive list, then laminate and keep in suitcase with a non-permanent marker to tick off as I go along lolSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

You keep the list in the 'holidays' folder on the PC. Then you print it at least 10 days (because of stuff below) before you start to pack?
Easy enough to put all the basics on it by just wandering round the house / your drawers:o
But add on the oddities such as Royal Mail keepsafe (if you don't want mail visible while you're away) .. ring your CC / DC company if you intend to use a card whilst abroad ('cos they'll likely block the transactions otherwise) ... bedside alarm (or mobile) .. any necessary chargers. And don't forget the electric timers for a couple of your lights at home.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
