RAC breakdown cover renewal after free BSM year, £100

And that's just for single vehicle cover and at home assistance. I called up and requested the renewal be cancelled. Is this normal practice for the AA and RAC to increase the price quite a bit compared with the price to start the policy?

They've got to recoup the cost of the free year somehow. AutoAid is £36.00, less with a cashback credit card. I don't think they're on Quidco.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
