Suggestions for Car Hire in Canada for a Rockies Tour

We are going to have to hire a car in Canada for approx a week to tour the Rockies. We would pick it up in downtown Vancouver and return it at Calgary airport. A friend suggested Alamo with gold cover (includes CDW) but it seems expensive. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'd suggest you hire it here, through a broker. (Holiday Autos, Car Hire 3000 and the like - even the UK site of your chosen company). If you book in Canada you rarely get unlimited mileage which on a trip like that is useful

If you haven't already, have a look at the Cheap Car Hire Article which has links to a quite a few comparison sites to make sure you're getting the best price. :)
