Cheap veg plug plant thingys????

Sorry for the title i'm not really sure what they are called.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy the little mini veg plants that you just grow on. My gardening skills are not brilliant so I don't want to try seed just yet. I love salad type veg best. I have looked at Thompson and Morgan but they seemed quite expensive for what I need.

Also can you recommend anything simple i could be planting in the next week or so.

Try your local market. There is a plant stall on my local market which sells tomato, leeks, peppers.
Try this website for possible freebies I have not used it myself so I cannot really recommend it. http://www.gardenfreebies.co.uk

I will be buying my tomato plants from http://www.jparkers.co.uk all their veg plants are £6.95 for 6 which is quite a good price. Growing from seed is cheaper but if like me you do not have a greenhouse or space in the house buying plug plants is the only option.
