What does the term BNIB mean?

I'm looking at mobile phones on Ebay and on a few of the listings is the term BNIB. What does it mean?

If you are not sure what abbreviations mean then always ask seller to make sure they aren't being tricky.
We all think BNIB means brand new in box but a dishonest seller could turn round and claim something substantially different afterwards. There was one on here recently were a buyer bought something BNWT which I would take to mean 'brand new with tag' but which the seller insisted was 'brand new without tag', quite different!
