Boots - trafford centre 75% sale mix up!!

I just wanted to say thank you to the MSE'ers who complained to the boots store manager with me today.
I'm sure Martin would be proud that we stuck to our guns.

And i also wanted to warn those of you who may go to this store today.
Apparently that 75% off sale should have started in the trafford centre TOMORROW! (a few of us asked for the manager at 10am when the store opened, complained and he said he would override the tills for us).

He did say he would do it for us but couldn't do it all day. they were still letting people have 75% off when i left at 11am.... so who knows what they will do??

Anyway thanks again... people power and all that.

ARGHH!! I was there at 10am and was told it starts tomorrow, just came on to let others know, i wish i would have done what you did!!

Just wondered if the Trafford Centre have a lot of sale stock left? I'm considering going tomorrow but not sure whether it's worth as it takes a while for me to get there.

Also, just to check is the opening time 10am tomorrow too?

Yeah its 10am, they had a lot of stuff in today, loads of smellies gift set, make up etc, some toys n games & food & wine sets, just wish i'd have seen the manager today, hope its not all gone tomorrow

oh poor you danielag... sorry i missed you ( i have to admit i did tell quite a few other poeple who were there about what had happened, didn't seem right that it was just a few of us getting the deal).
When i left they still had most things.

I think they were caught short - i think things like the sporticus dress up set would have been put in the back till after the sale as it had nothing to do with christmas.

bast bits i found were:
a time delage body massage kit - was £20, i paid £5
sportacus dress up - was £20 , i paid £5
Ruby and Millie compact - was £20 i paid £5 (drfo none of those left i'm afraid)
simpsons crackers, leap frog game, spinning top, 3 different dora the explorer craft kits... it was fab!!
Spent £45 in the end... could hardly carry it to the car (mind you the double buggy i was pushing didn't help!!).

I was eyeing up that time delay kit, there were quite a few good things in, i've got lots of birthdays coming up so the bargins will be great! I think thre were a few in there thinking it was today, we all seemed to be walking round with a frown! I did see someone with 4 huge boots bags on my way back to the car park, it might have been you! Oh well, i'll be there again at 10am tomorrow.

I think its really mean that they don't just tell us when its going to happen (maybe put it on their website the night before).... am i wrong in thinking the whole point is to tempt us into the store and buy things...
I asked three different menbers of staff today, one said he couldn't say, one said it was tomorrow and other said (very grumpily) that it was at the end of the month!!
I do think the whole shop was full of MSE'ers though as most people i talked to mentioned it- even the store manager tried to pre-empt us by saying he knew it was on the internet.

i know you would think they would want us to know wouldnt you, the guy i asked just said its tomorrow, it started on line yesterday - as we know it didn't! Nevermind i'll be bargin hunting again tomorrow

Are they still honouring the 75% discount - anyone know - or do we have to wait until tomorrow?
