I've got the Abbey 5% food supermarket cashback card and my old Capital One Platinum card, now at the basic 1% for everything else. I've just had the annual cashback on the Capital One card, so it would seem to be time to start looking for a better deal.
However, the only better deal is the new version of my Capital One card.
The other 1% card is the Egg Money one. Is it worth switching to the Egg Money one, just to be able to eventually go back to Capital One at an introductory rate (if they'll have me)?

The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Why not try the Amex platinum card for 5% cashback. Amex is not accepted everywhere, but all your supermarket and petrol shopping can go on it.
Having received 4% cashback from Capital One for three months, I applied again, in my husband's name for another three months at 4%.0
