Moving in a week's time

Hi All i am moving next week monday , i know the property number / post code etc , the current landlord in moving out on saturday , can i get bt to give me a provisional home number so that i can start ordering my adsl , as i kow this takes like 2weeks from your order date ??

also can anyone recomend a no limits adsl packace that is of good valua st this time , i have checked niftylist & there seems to be no great deals on at the moment.

    I think it's not a good idea to order ADSL on a phone line that doesn't exist yet. That's because you have to pay the connection charge to the ISP as soon as you order ADSL. If something goes wrong with the phone line at a later date - then that's usually hard luck, you don't get your money back for the ADSL.

    That said - connecting ADSL in advance on a reconnected existing phone line is probably less risky than a brand new install.

    All the same - my advice is make do with 56k for the time being.
