Welcome Finance also did unauthorised searches on my credit record without my authorisation. Make sure you write to Welcome direct and they'll clear it up for you quite quickly. From memory, they'd written back to me within the week advising that they would contact the credit reference agencies to have the search record retracted.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
If its been referred then it could be bad news and some of it will have been your own fault - too many searches in a small period of time shows you to be desperate (not withstanding your 'dispute' with Welcome about their credit searches).0

It doesnt matter if you were accepted or not a search is a search and too many in a short period of time does damage your credit rating - I think they say try not to have more that 3 in a 6 month period -
Dont panic though after waiting about 6 months you should be ok to apply for stuff again.0 -
Ive had an unauthorised search from Welcome, makes you wonder how many people have had them. Need to get a letter of to them I reckon.0

i think im going to get rejected but how are you supposed to build up credit if no1 gives u credit in the first place?? lol0 -
No you will get a high rate - very high in relation to the Nationwide.
If you default then your guarantor is called to pay on your behalf.
Would I sign one of these for my kids - not a cat in hells chance!
I do not know whether they credit score the guarantor - after all they want a solvent person to call on if you don't pay.
If you go ahead with the dealers finance you will end up with someone like Welcome finance.
You think you have problems now?, just you wait.0
