Hen Party in Newcastle

I am looking to organise a smallish Hen Party for Sister in Law to Newcastle in late Feb.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any hotels, places to visit that will not strech the purse strings too much, but also not too dingy or disgusting!! ha
The Hen is in her early 30's so looking possible to do something a little chilled on the Saturday day time, and then a good old knees up in the evenings.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

For really cheap, try the Travelodge's in the area. Otherwise, I have stayed in the Thistle which is conveniently located over the road from the main Central rail station. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

We stayed in Jesmond on a lads' weekend to Newcastle, practically every other house in the street we stayed in was a B&B, very reasonable prices and near a metro/train station to get into the centre. Could try Googling "Newcastle Jesmond B&B" or similar...0

Thanks for the suggestions
Does anyone know where to go during the day, maybe a pamper day or somewhere nice for lunch etc0 -
I live near Newcastle and regular go into 'Toon'.
There are several hotels, mostly big chains on or near Newcsatle Quayside. Try the Newcastle-Gateshead Hilton as they offer two night deals with Dinner on the first night. Alternatively there are a few travellodge/premier lodge style places centrally situated on the Quayside itself and most have parking attached.
Newcastle Quayside is lively enough on Fridays and Saturdays with cheap bars i.e Lloyds and more expensive or upmarket bars close by on Mosley Street (just off the Bigg Market). Jesmond is OK but is mainly student bars as it is the heart of the student accommodation. From my knowledge of the hotesl/B & B's there, I personally would not stay in them. Many are overpriced, old and run down although to be fair there are one or two half decent ones.
There is also a Copthorne hotel on the Quayside, about 50 yards from Lloyds bar and they offer pamper days etc.
Anyway enjoy0
