washing machine wont spin

My washing machine is an Indesit and is about 5/6 years old. Has been working fine till yesterday then decided it was not going to go into spin cycle. Took all the clothes out and drained it and tried with it empty, still nothing. It would do the first slow revs but would not speed up to fast spin. Tried all spin points on dial, fast med short long, but it wasnt having it. Had another go today and its working fine, no problems, did all the bedding and it was quite happy. Can anyone say if this is probably the beginning of the end, do you think its gonna die a death ?

Check the filter too in case it is blocked up, when my washing machine wouldn't spin there was an underwire from a bra stuck in it. x0

We had the same problem with ours, it was the brushes and we got someone in to fix it, probably cost around £40-50 parts and labour, not too bad.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
