you don't know of any offices in your local town
there are no council offices?
no solicitors offices?
no hotels?
no accountancy firms?
no schools?
no companies at all?

Well with that sort of initiative, I'm not surprised you're not getting anywhere. And I bet that sort of "can't do, don't know what to do" attitude shines through your workaday life of assistant under-assistant librarian or whatever it is that you are.
Negativity shines like a beacon, phil, and closes an awful lot of doors. So deal with it. Either give yourself a wake-up kick or accept your fate and stop whinging.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

I look at all the other people my age with chances and opportunties and I have [strike]none[/strike] different opportunities now, all because of a [strike]degree course[/strike] drunk driver who left me disabled at the age of 18.
Life's what you make of it though Phil.
Do I spend my days cursing that person or do I get on with it. You should look at what you have got rather than what you haven't.
I know there are opportunities out there. I have seen some jobs I might have a chance to get, but I know the odds are against her.:beer:0 -

I don't know any offices that would want me to work for nothing.
you wouldn't do it for £50studentphil wrote: »I think I can have double time if I work after midnight, not that I ever would need to so that is a meaningless part of my contract.
It really isn't worth working all day Sunday for £50 as far as I can see.0 -
