I've done a fair bit of head hunting in my time so can I let you into why I chose the candidates to headhunt?
NOT because they
A) went to a "good" uni
B)because they are currently in a senior management job
C)because they have the right contacts or family
In every single case I've headhunted because I've heard - from colleagues, customers, contacts, suppliers, whoever - that the person has been very good at their job.
People that whinge, moan, think the world is against them, everyone else has chances they don't, blah blah are unlikely to get that call. People who make the best of what they've got, will.
The most successful people I know don't necessarily have university degrees, or even good school qualifications. They are people who work hard, do their best and are positive and respected. My mentor has just retired from a position as Managing Director of a multi national successful company. How did he start? Never went to uni and left school at 15. His dad was a miner. He himself worked as an errand boy in a grocers - but tells me that he was determined to be the best errand boy they had.
Which category are you in Phil?0 -

What do you mean by someone who has even worked on Tesco tills is more suitable, don't you think that is exactly WHY they are more suitable?0 -

so you've chosen a lifetime of moaning instead then.
well done. you'll go far :rolleyes:0 -
There job security for many people phil. And if you are picky you will be destined to get nothing and in the end you will be unemployable because of no experience in anything. How often have we told you this? Grow up phil, or you'll never be offered a man's job.
If all these basic jobs you skills to process it wouldn't be so bad, but you seem to spend ages slogging away at them and you are still no more able to get a better job.:beer:0 -
