Tesco green clubcard points.

It's my new years resolution to use less plastic bags, so I've been keeping my resuable bags in the car instead of in my house so I won't forget. I went to tesco yesterday armed with my bags, when my items got scanned, I ended up using 3 of my own bags which surely would equate to 3 clubcard points worth 3p. Is it my job to remind the checkout assistant to give me the points or should they automatically been added?
I've asked for them before, then felt like a gypo, so I didn't yesterday and lost out on 3 points

Seeing as Tesco are advertising this so much, surely they should tell the checkout staff to be vigilant and do the points automatically! :mad:

It does seem frustrating from a customers point of view - happens to me and I'm sure many others.

Just ask! If the cashier is unhelpful, ask at customer services.

One other thing, I do sympathise with the cashiers sometimes, they do have so many different things they have to remember these days! Gone are the days when they tallied the goods, told you the total, took the money and handed back change.

Just ask Emma, and don't feel bad about reminding them

I usually tell them at the start I shall be using my own carrier bags and then at the end before paying, tell them how many bags I've used. Had no problems doing it this way and found on many occasions they actually add more points :j

Usually I get asked, or they just put down 10, sometimes they don't put them on so I get them added at CS who depending whoses on will give extra for the inconvience.
