reapplying for benefits???

hi just wondering if someone can help my b/f gets DLA, IB, IS (he suffers with bipolar) i get CA, CTC, and CB we are hopefully moving in about 6 weeks as we are going through a mutual exchange ... we were wondering if we have to reapply for these benefits when we move or will they just be transfered to the nearest benefits office
thanks

  • You will have to notify all of them that you are moving so they will advise you when you tell them if you need to fill any change of address forms in etc. Best bet is to phone them and ask.

I think with benefits where there will be a change of office dealing with it, i.e. IS and possibly IB, then you have to fill out new forms so they have a paper copy in the office, but if the only circumstances that have changed are your address there shouldn't be any change in the amounts you receive.

The other benefits such as DLA, CB, CTC just need to be informed of new address as they will still be dealt with at same office.

Hi all help would be very much appreciated from you I need rounded up figure as much as possible.
I have been offered a job working 43 hours a week £6.00 an hour.
My hubby is long term sick and receives lower rate DLA and IB.
We have 3 kids eldest age 18 and still at college. at the mo income supoort is £245 a week with child benifit paid on a monthly rate.
I relly want to come off benifit and start work..will it be worth it though.
We own our own home so no rent will be payable.
How much would I be entitled to with Working Tax credit and Child Tax credits?
I have tried putting in figures...it doesnt seem right though.
Help please with roundabout figures if poss.
How much Council Tax would be payable too?
    Many thanks
