Many thanks for the reply, do you know where the filter is hidden ?.A house isn't a home without a cat.

The alternative is that the cartridge has packed up. Did it work OK for the 2 years and then suddenly start mis-behaving or has this happened gradually? How hard is the water where you are, too?
The unit appears soild with no way of getting into it, unless you get at it by
taking the end caps / knobs off ?. Or are the filters actually just inside the
pipes ?. Yes it worked ok and I seem to remember over time turning the
temp up while having a shower, which says to me that theres a good chance
of it being slightly blocked.......no idea how hard the water is im afraid.0 -

The Aqualisa that looks like it, the body comes apart in two pieces, top and bottom. The knobs are either pull off or held by small screws. See what I mean about either knowing it exactly or seeing it to take it apart?

Many thanks for the reply......ive just registered myself rather than use
the wifes account. I'll take the thing apart this week and have a good
look at it, so many thanks for your help, its much appreciated.
Oh and we are in the slightly hard to moderate water area.;)
Cheers.

I think it unlikely though that it would have scaled up badly in 2 years if the guide is correct.A house isn't a home without a cat.

Only just got around to having a look at this problem. I took the unit
off completely and there are filters in the end of each pipe that come
out of the unit itself,....the filters are ok but there is no way of getting
into the unit to check the thermostat, so its looks like a replacement
is in order.0 -
Just managed to find a new unit for 30 quid locally, so collecting
it tomorrow....im a happy bunny now!. :j0
