Hey donnadoo, have just looked at my debt diary and noticed you said you'd started your own - well done for taking that first step!!!
Don't give up and just keeping posting, be it when you're up, down or just want a good old rant!!! There will always be someone around to help out.
I shall be looking out for your progress - it looks like we're both on a similar mission weight wise too, so we shall just have to keep each other motivated. :j
Oh I had heart failure at my food shopping costs too . I worked hard at trying to get it down and can just about manage all food & grocery inc toiletires for £200-250 p/month ( I was paying that on just food before), although still working at getting it down to £200 atm.
The only other thing I can say is take it one step at a time, the debt didn't happen overnight and certainly won't disappear that quickly (although how we wish it would), but you can do something about it, and you have started to by asking for help. You should be proud of that.
Good luck xxx

This is when it came to light that since last payday (28th Dec) we have spent £263.41 at ASDA & Morrisons   I have got to say we were both extremely godsmacked at this, of course you do not realise this when you are going on the odd day and spending about £20/£30 at a time so we have now agreed to take some action on this as you will see from my SOA.
It's took me a while to get here but here is my SOA!
Apologies as it's only 95% complete but will try and find further info tomorrow, Just wanted to get it on here ASAP as that's how keen i am to deal with all this..

I would use Martins budget planner or this http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html to make sure you have thought of everything such as haircuts/ car costs etc etc. If you have a surplus then you should be fine yourself but if not then CCCS are probably the best place to start. Dont go to a fee paying service they are rubbish and take longer to clear the debt.
You need to make the monthly costs affordable so that your not left without emergency monies and you can actual enjoy life on the budget. No good setting out a three year plan with no simple luxuries it will be too easy to fall off the wagon again.
Glad to see you back again. Im sure others will be around soon.
Good luck.:j0 -
Thanks very much for that
It states I have a surplus of £180 which i know if i commit to £100 a month to clear debts I would struggle to live on £80 a month but then again..I don't know until i try do i?Total Debt Amount June 2015:£14,034.22Which will come down the quickest...weight or debt??? :rotfl::rotfl:Debt free date 31st May 2025 (my 42nd Birthday )

Hello
Im still here  . Not sure why others havent picked up on the thread. Keep trying thats the main thing or maybe start a new thread to start the CCCS phase.:j0 -
I'm following your progress too. Don't worry, lots of people read these diary threads, but don't actually post replies unless a specific question has been asked.poppy100
