JVC KD-S6060 Car CD Player Halfords £29

  • Sorry to bring bad news - this is a special deal in Gloucester City centre only. The branch is closing, so it's a 'Clear it out' price not available elsewhere.

Believe me, I tried asking, pleading, cajoling, threatening, everything at my local Halfords, and they wouldn't move an inch.

Any other offers going on head units?

Yes - a very good deal at Argos

    Kenwood 4527 MP3/WMA 4x50W, RDS etc player - 66 pounds - reduced from 150 originally

Cheapest online place is 90 odd

Even better is you may get a 4031 instead - which is a newer model for same price - I got one today and very pleased indeed

4x30W RMS - just like most other lower-mid end head units - most advertise not in RMS - hence figures like 4x50W

4x50W is advertised as peak power or something

Found the thread! markabuckley can't thank you enough for the Argos spot. I am now the proud owner of the Kenwood KDC-W4031!

    Meinnit,
Can you confirm whether the 4031 can accept an aux input ? ie is there any way to connect an ipod to it ?

The 4031 won't take an Aux input (as far as I am aware)

BUT the 4527 (which you could get from Argos - older model) does seem to be compatible with the Kenwood IPOD adapter - see here

    Kenwood KCA-IP500 iPod Adaptor

Its not cheap though. The 4031 seems to be not compatible with it.

As markabuckley says I dont think there is an iPod connector on this unit. The specs do not mention it either.
