There was no mention of a specific comment from the Mothercare employee which was rude or aggressive

Exactly. The op initiated any conflict by using as they admit "scare tactics". The sales assistant felt harassed, well "scare tactics" were being used so thats perfectly justified.

Some people see people as soon as their doing a role "staff" as material objects and not people. They then ignore any behavior these material objects have to put up with and defend those who initiate conflict. The likelihood for this is because they are perfectly happy to do it themselves and have done in the past.

This happens hundreds of times in this forum. The op's always come back on as well as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

OP who accepted his misquote of the act

Was post 14 at which point the op hadn't made any comment on whether they were correct in what they were quoting. It seems tictac make it up as he goes along to suit his argument, just like the op! They all stick together believe me, despite ultimately being in the wrong!!!!

I couldn't agree more. I'm going to apologise tomorrow to the supervisor. Thanks for all the input again and I apologise for causing anyone any offence, it was never my intention. GF

Yeah right!!! Not when they think they know the law!. And for plenty of other reasons in retail.

Good on you though gf, for going back to apologise.
