Amex: customer services in India

I have severly reprimanded American Express for the continuing use of call centers in India. I had to ring today, and not only was the accent of the operator so strong, but the line was terrible too.

Within an hour I was rung back by a senior manager in England, after I complained.

I have to say that every time I've got through to their Indian call centre, the line was terrible.

However, the staff in each case were much better than other companies' Indian call centres. More polite and seemed to know what they were talking about.

In my experience, I find that if I call CS later in the evening, I never get through to India (because they're all asleep by that time!).

That's right.

I am deeply unimpressed with Amex at the moment.
