Can you help, I need a lead, possibly a S video to scart lead?!?

You can get the leads here http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=35910&doy=search but check out other places for price as they are 12.79 but they do have the bonus of added phono leads so the sound would be better.

If you want a 2m lead try Maplins, but again Argos doeas a 1.5m scart lead quite reasonable here, but a 2m scart lead is 50% more in preice for 12inches and that is here or here. And then again you will need the scart switch here along with either the amazon lead or pc world lead already mentioned the cost looks like it goes up a fair bit for the extra meter you are looking for when the original solution is quite reasonable.

The leads in the pictures appear to be scart leads where as I thought I needed a s video (to connect into laptop) to scart lead (to conect into tv or the extension block). Is that not what I need? I don't have anywhere on the laptop for a scart lead.

Am I correct that I need a s video to scart lead and a block to convert 3 scarts to 1 scart? Also, if I got phono leads the sound would be better.

You only have 2 scart sockets on the back of the TV unless you unplug something you will need the scart block to give you an extra scart socket, you need scart to s video so you told us so links for this cable were posted, if you dont use this type of cable how elese are you going to get any picture????

I'd first check that your TV has s-video enabled scarts otherwise this could be a waste of time and money.

Yes your laptop you say is Svideo out and the tv Scart or component in. The Belkin solution from PC World or Amazon will do this but you say you want 2 metres i do not know if the belkin lead will cover two metres, but the Maplins solution does. Personally i would just buy the PC World cable will it do 2metres ..


Yes i just enlarged the picture it will infact cover a distance of 5metres

You are stating the same as me. I need a scart to s video lead and a scart block. I said a 3 block because then I would have a spare scart socket if I ever needed it. Does that make sense?
