I would like to buy a TV either today or tomorrow as I'm stuck at home, not too well, and am currently without any TV at all.
I want one between 19 and 26 inch, and less than £250. It doesn't have to be the very best on the market (and won't be for £250) but it needs to be OK. I have looked through this forum but all the discussion leaves me confused. Any sugestions? Thanks.

Aldi did a 19 inch with 3 year warranty, they still had one or two in our nearest store. It is £179.
It may be worth tryng asda too, my son has just bought an excellent 26 inch Panny for £350 (I know above your budget but they did have others), not shown on-line, only in store.
This is available from thursday too.
