Been too Marton Mere a few years ago. There is plenty to do in Blackpool, but you could also go to Camelot theme park for the day. It's near Chorley (I think)

Deffo the Zoo, we go there every year and right next door is the park so if its a nice day you have the full day out.
The Tower, well personally I dont think its what its hyped up to be, very expensive and what you actually get for you money is not good. When we went all it consisted of was kids running riot (if i be honest), the food area was a mess, the play area wasnt that good in the fact that there was hardly any seats so that you could watch the kids (mind it was very busy the day we went).
There should be plenty of entertainment within Marton Mere to keep little un amused.

    Have fun :D
