Cheap Place to Stay Stansted Airport

I'm flying to Parma, and there are no direct flights from Dublin for less than €190. So I found a return from Stansted, but my flight leaves at 12 midday and I've heard that Ryanair won't offer any assistance because "they recommend you don't take two Ryanair flights in the same day".
Would I be sensible in taking the Dublin-Stansted flight at horror o'clock in the morning so if it was cancelled I could even take the next flight and make it in time, or should I spend the night before at Stansted, in which case is there somewhere very cheap nearby?

You'd be better off spending your money on the direct flight from Dublin.
The only thing cheap about Stansted is the flights. Parking, accommodation, transport - all are expensive. It is often a false economy to go that way if you don't have to.
By the time you've paid for a B&B (which won't be that cheap because it's near Stansted), paid for a taxi to/from it and meals during the extra travelling you will have saved little if anything.0
