I've downloaded the spreadsheet and been filling it in and it is starting to make some sense to my finances but i am unable to insert rows and/or columns as the spreadsheet is password protected. Is this correct and if so can i get a version without the protection?

Think the answer will be no..
Once it's unprotected people will be able to change and pass it off as their own0 -
Thank-you for offering up a NO sg, your answer is partially correct.
The reason the spreadsheet is password protected is to prevent accidently deleting the formulas or more importanly the macros which make it function as it does.
To answer your question though Jacs, yes it is possible to make additional input cells & this is something I frequently do with personal solutions. It makes programming the spreadsheet more involved & time consuming. On this occassion with Martins permission I opted to use the "Other Expenses" cells where you will be able to add additional expenses if required.
