Sunday 13/01/08 What small dfw thing have you done or will you do today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:
Splishsplash - How is the decorating going??
Sans - Glad to see you were back to bargain hunting top form again yesterday.
Jamtart - Hope you got the library issue sorted.
Take care everyone.........

- Have a no spend day.
- Do clicks.
- Check online banking.
- Portion up the batch cooked quorn chilli now cooling in kitchen.:D
- Make a fish pie for tea to use up cooked potatoes.
- check DD's mobile account online to make sure she hasn't gone over her minutes/texts yet:rolleyes:
- Probably spend too much time on mse picking up tips.

I will shortly be off the my Weight Watchers meeting, last week, I bought a magazine (budgeted for), only to find that some of the pages were ripped out . Today I will take it back, rather than buy a new one.
I also need a new suit for a job interview on Thursday (or, I might find the one that I have sitting in a box - if it still fits me that is)
Other than that, I will .....
....... not buy a hot chocolate in town (will make one instead at home) £2.40 saved
........ not park in the shopping centre car park, will park for free in the council car park £1.80 saved
....... not drink a fizzy cola based drink in the pub, will stick to lime and soda water instead £1.00 saved
....... make my sandwich for work tomorrow, instead of buying a horrible sandwich from the van £2.50 savedDebts at the start of my journey - about £23,000 lightbulb moment 01.03.2007 (1st payment to CCCS)..Debt Free Date 25.06.2013 Deposit savings £17,000/£30,0000 -

* tidy my bedroom and get rid of the useless junk that I have accumulated
* do a bit of batch cooking
* search about for a tesco code
* work on the dreaded DLA form and hopefully get it finished off - hooray!!
* try and find an ink cartridge for the fewest pennies possible
* maybe have a look at the application form for the new job which would be a huge pay rise... but back to full-time working...

Today I will make a yummy soup from all the veg in my fridge and freeze portions of it. Then I will clean all of my flat. Then I will find things to sell on ebay. Then I will give myself a manicure and a pedicure...and all without spending any £££

Hello everyone!
I made organic pasta sauce from scratch and have 3 portions to freeze - at about a third of the cost of jars! (I also feel so smug about all the blitzed veggies the kids will be eating without realising, hee hee!)
Also (continuing the old stylee idea) I bought a burger press on eBay for £4.49, with Paypal funds I already had, and through Quidco for cashback (I remembered, this time!!) - so I can make home made veggie burgers to freeze too.
Did my clicks.0
